One-Week Island Hopping from Marmaris

This seven-day itinerary bridges the Turkish coast and the Greek Dodecanese, offering open-water passages and memorable island ports. International yacht passages between Turkey and Greece require standard port of entry clearance procedures at designated ports on both sides.

Day 1: Marmaris to Rhodes Town (approx. 25 NM)

After completing yacht check-in at Netsel Marmaris Marina and clearing customs, set sail south across the channel towards Rhodes. Moor at Mandraki Harbour or nearby marina facilities, where entry formalities are completed. Spend the evening exploring the atmospheric medieval walls of the Old Town.

Day 2: Rhodes Exploration

Dedicate a full day to exploring Rhodes. Wander through the cobblestone alleys of the Knights' Quarter, visit the Palace of the Grand Master, or relax in local tavernas.

Day 3: Rhodes to Symi via Panormitis (approx. 24 NM)

Head northwest towards the southern tip of Symi. Anchor in the well-sheltered bay of Panormitis for lunch and a swim beneath the historic monastery. Continue along the dramatic coastline to Symi's main harbour, Gialos.

Day 4: Symi (Gialos)

Spend a relaxing day in Symi. The harbour is famous for its amphitheatre of pastel-coloured neoclassical mansions. Walk up the Kali Strata to Chorio for panoramic views, or take a short sail to nearby anchorages like Saint George Bay.

Day 5: Symi to Bozburun (approx. 18 NM)

Cross back into Turkish waters to Bozburun to complete customs re-entry formalities. Bozburun is a traditional boatbuilding centre renowned for serene anchorages and quiet waterfront dining.

Day 6: Bozburun to Çiftlik Cove (approx. 20 NM)

Round the rugged Bozburun peninsula towards Çiftlik Cove. This wide bay provides good holding, clear water, and a wide shingle beach ideal for swimming and unwinding.

Day 7: Çiftlik to Netsel Marmaris Marina (approx. 15 NM)

Enjoy a gentle morning sail along the coast back into Marmaris Bay, returning to the berth at Netsel Marmaris Marina for the final evening.
