Essential information regarding charter insurance coverage, security deposits, and booking protection.
What insurance coverage protects Miknatis Yachting charters?
All of our yachts, bookings, and payments are protected by Sealogy (EIS - European Insurance Services). Furthermore, MIKNATIS Yachting is a member of the VDC (Association of German Charter Companies), ensuring rigorous industry standards.
What is a security deposit and how does it work?
A security deposit covers potential loss or damage to the yacht or its equipment during your charter period. It is normally authorized or deposited at check-in and released following a satisfactory post-charter technical inspection.
Deposit amounts depend on the yacht's type and size, and exact figures are confirmed with your booking.
What happens if I need to cancel my charter?
Cancellations are governed by the specific terms and conditions set out in your charter agreement. Any applicable refund or cancellation fees depend on the timing of notification relative to your departure date.
Exact conditions are confirmed at booking, and charterers are encouraged to consider travel cancellation insurance.
Are additional insurance or service packages available?
Yes. During the booking process and prior to your voyage, you may select from available optional extras, including specialized service packages and insurance packages tailored to your journey.
How are payments and bookings protected?
Your charter payments and bookings are secured through Sealogy (EIS) guarantees and supported by our membership in the Association of German Charter Companies (VDC).
Where can I review the complete charter conditions?
Our complete rental conditions are provided with your booking offer and charter contract. We recommend reviewing these terms carefully before confirming your reservation.
